weaving break...

Now that the holiday rush is over, I'm a bit burned out on weaving.  I'll take my loom with me over Christmas holiday to weave a bit, but I don't have a compulsive need to weave every day, as often as I can.  I think that comes with the turning of fall into winter, and now that it's winter, it's board game season (another of my hobbies)!

I still have one more scarf to make for an order, but it doesn't need to be done by Christmas, so I can take my time.

After that, maybe I'll weave something for myself!  (I know, right?)  I've been wanting to make myself a black-and-white houndstooth scarf.  Or, I have plans for a valance for my kitchen.  And, there's that silver shawl I have on my yard-sale loom.  Always a project in mind.

scarves for sale!

The last of my craft shows is over for the year, so I thought I'd put some of my surplus here!  Need any Christmas presents?  :)

Camo Bamboo Scarf - $20.  These bamboo scarves are very popular because they're so soft!  Yes, from bamboo!  This one includes dark green, black, brown, white, cream, and tan.  A bit knobbly (as you can see in the second photo) because the weave is looser.  This one does show up more green than the photo lets on... think "camouflage" and you've got your colors.

5"x 78" (including fringe)

Rose Garden Bamboo Scarf - $18.  SOLD!  These bamboo scarves are very popular because they're so soft!  Yes, from bamboo!  The colors are rose, olive green, brown, and light pink.  A bit knobbly because the weave is looser.

4 3/4" x 73" (including fringe)

Wind & Waves- $23.  A clasped-weft scarf made from wool, acrylic, and cotton.  I've had people ask if this was a cityscape, forest... so, options are open.  ;)

5" x 75" (including fringe)

Log Cabin- $28.  Light grey and purple blocks intertwine in a sophisticated pattern.  This is made from very nice Harrisville wool.  Very light and warm!

5" x 67" (including twisted fringe)

Soft Fiesta Frenzy- $20.  Made of acrylics... the warp is called "Monet" and the weft is a bit feathered, but the black tones down the riot of color.

5" x 85" (including fringe... this is for those who like long scarves!)

Mango Melon- $18.  This is for those who enjoy texture!  The random boucle and 4x4 pattern make this a lively and enjoyable scarf.  Thick, stretchy, and fun!  If you look at the second picture, you can see the texture.  The first image is closer to the real color... bright!  Even that is still a bit dulled.

4 3/4" x 67" (including fringe)

Grey Tones Scarfette- $13.  SOLD! I call this a "scarfette" or "baby scarf," perfect for the vertically challenged who don't want a lot of bulk wrapped around.  Made of variegated black and white wool.

5 1/2" x 35" (including fringe)

Shipping for each scarf is $2 parcel post... $1.50 for each additional scarf, or
$4.90 each for priority mail... $4.95 for two or three scarves.
